It’s all about our campers. Everything we do supports our belief that every youngster deserves a summer of fun. To provide the best for our campers we have reached out to our community since our earliest history, and the generosity of our donors has made our mission possible. Private donations in large part have sustained our tradition.
All children, some with scholarship assistance, are a part of the JORI family each summer. And the beauty of our mission is that no one knows is a recipient of financial aid. Side by side, all campers learn skills, discover independence, personally grow over each summer season.

Capital Campaign / Building Fund
Camp JORI sits on over 72 acres of pristine woodland, on the largest lake in Rhode Island with an exceptional waterfront for boating and fishing, with woodland paths and pine groves. The site is surrounded by Nature Conservancy protected land. The buildings are all state-of-the-art and the playing fields, pools and nature trails make Camp JORI among the finest of environments.
The achievement of our outstanding facility continues to be a community effort. Based on a commitment to Jewish camping and to the excellence of the JORI experience, many supporters have made JORI the superior camp that it is. But, we still have plans for expansion and improvement, and naming opportunities.
Our Annual & Scholarship Funds
Each summer we provide scholarship, offering children of families in financial need the opportunity to be part of the JORI experience. The single parent, the unemployed, those who are facing economic hardship or medical crises, contact Paul Segal. In a strictly confidential conversation, he awards camp scholarships. All families are asked to contribute a portion of the cost. Annually, we ask for donations to our scholarship fund. Your tax deductible gift means so much to the recipient and has great impact on the entire family.
The 1909 Legacy Society
Camp JORI alumni and friends have the opportunity to ensure the future of the JORI camping experience so that we can continue to meet the needs of tomorrow’s children. With your commitment, JORI will be positioned to maintain this gem for another 100 years and beyond, to continuously improve our facility and programs and to provide access for generations of children to attend, regardless of their economic circumstances. The Legacy Society gift supports the camp in perpetuity by including Camp JORI in estate planning and bequests. A gift of this nature is personal.
